WHY ALIMONYPATH
Clarity for a complicated transition.
AlimonyPath is an independent educational resource designed to help people organize their questions about spousal support and prepare for a more informed conversation with a local family-law attorney.
What the site is for
Alimony laws, court practices, and terminology differ by state. It can be difficult to know what to research or what records to gather. AlimonyPath offers a guided checklist, practical preparation guides, and links to state-specific information so visitors can take a more organized next step.
How we approach legal information
- We distinguish educational information from legal advice.
- We point visitors toward sources and encourage them to check publication or update dates.
- We do not present a single nationwide alimony formula or predict what a judge will order.
- We do not encourage people to relocate or file in a state without first confirming jurisdiction with a lawyer.
Who runs AlimonyPath?
This launch version is a digital resource, not a law firm. It does not claim attorney authorship, attorney review, or attorney-client relationships. As state-specific materials are developed, each should identify its author or reviewer, the sources consulted, and the date it was last checked.
Referrals and revenue
AlimonyPath currently links to the American Bar Association’s public lawyer-referral directory. It does not currently match visitors with participating attorneys or receive referral fees. If paid placements or referral relationships are introduced later, the relationship will be disclosed near the relevant link or listing.
